Police HQ opens its doors for free family day out

Hertfordshire Constabulary is holding an Open Day at Police HQ on Saturday, September 10th 2011, from 11am until 3pm to commemorate 175 years of policing in the county.

The day promises to be filled with fun for all of the family and admission is absolutely FREE!

Highlights include: seeing behind-the-scenes at police HQ, firearms demonstrations, dogs demonstrations, bouncy castle, gladiator jousting, music, refreshments and tug of war. You can also bring your bicycle along for free s...

Litter Pick

Nick Moorhouse from Gascoyne Cecil Estates has proposed (through the Old Hatfield Community Forum) a tidying up purge of Salisbury Square and the surrounding areas between 10am and midday on Saturday 8th October. Hatfield House will provide black sacks but everybody should provide their own gloves. Please tell as many people as possible

Two updates for you - firstly we have been advised by the council that the new public benches for Salisbury Square should be ready by late summer. 

Secondly, we are pleased to advise that the mobile library will be visiting St Audreys care home at the top of Church Street once every three weeks, starting in September.  The library will be available for all in the area  to use and St Audreys themselves would be delighted to have more integration with the local community through useage of...
