Unveiled - vision for future of Old Hatfield

Provisional plans to reinvigorate an historic part of Hatfield with an £8.2m redevelopment scheme have been presented to Welwyn Hatfield Council.

Proposals to redevelop Salisbury Square, in Old Hatfield, were outlined during a development consultation forum held at Campus West on Thurday.

New non-emergency 101 number launches in Herts Police

A new non-emergency number has launched at Herts Police, aimed at making the service easier to use and more efficient.

101 will replace the current non-emergency number, 0845 33 00 222.

The changeover will not happen immediately and the ‘0845' number is expected to be in place for approximately a year, running in tandem with 101 to ensure a smooth transition.

It will cost 15p for the duration of a call to 101, whether made from a landline or mobile phone.

No November fireworks at Hatfield House

A POPULAR Bonfire Night firework display, which raised cash for the mayor of Welwyn Hatfield’s charities, will not take place this November.
