You might have noticed that the public benches in Salisbury Square are in a very sorry state of repair.  We are pleased to announce that Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council visited the Square recently and agreed to take away three of the benches, on the lower row, and replace with two new benches in the two outer bays and resite a rubbish bin (for easier access to users) to the central bay.

The council officers who visited explained that funds were very limited and thought that four public benches (two in the upper row, and two in the lower row) would be sufficient for the moment.

We will keep you updated with progress on this situation.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any comments regarding this.
